Baseball: An American Tradition
Baseball is as American as Apple Pie. It is the longest season of any of the professional sports league and is played by 15 million people each year. As a company, we are always looking for ways to stay involved in our community and to give back to our friends and neighbors. One of the ways that we have done this over the years is by sponsoring youth sports and extra curricular activities. This summer, we have been sponsoring a baseball team! They are a really good baseball team, and one of the members holds an extra special place in our hearts.
Our son, Trey, is a member of the team. They practice hard, play harder, and are learning lessons that will serve the kids well for years to come. We are proud to support the team financially, physically, and emotionally. The camaraderie the parents and families develop over the long season is one that brings value to all involved.
Baseball has long been America's past time. In recent years, other sports have become more popular, but there is still no better game to watch in person than baseball.
The one on one battle between a pitcher and the batter, the smell of freshly cut grass, a hot dog and peanuts, and laughter in the crowd are all things that we can agree need to be cherished.
America has become such a fast paced society with our cell phones and "busy lives." Baseball provides us with a few hours escape from the rigors of our day, and we are proud to help keep this tradition alive. Congratulations to Trey and the entire Western Little League 11U All-Stars.
We would love to hear how you support the community with your business. Leave comments below, and share your ideas with us for future blog posts.
